GBT Adds Two Hybrid Buses to Fleet

On Friday, April 20, 2012, GBT added two new Hybrid buses to it's fleet at a ribbon cutting ceremony at the bus station. This event was part of a larger day-long Earth Day celebration.

Uses 40% Less Gas - New Hybrid Buses

 

These buses, made available to GBT by the State of Connecticut, will be used for testing as we plan for upgrading our fleet in 2015. The buses will rotate through most of our routes as we test performance and maintenance among many other factors.

Detour on GBT Rt 8 – Alert#2:
Due to road closures and construction at Main St and Fairfield Ave in downtown Bridgeport, GBT Route 8 is detouring as follows: Bus departs from the bus station, turning right onto Water St, left on Congress St, and then right on Main St to resume the regular route. The route is reversed on the return.

Detour on GBT Rt 8

Due to road closures, GBT route 8 will be using Congress street in both directions. Passengers who usually board or alight at the train station on Water Street should use the bus terminal.
