Blizzard Warning 1/26/15

En español

The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for Southern Connecticut, from Monday afternoon (1/25/15) through Tuesday evening (1/26/15). A combination of strong winds, heavy snow and low visibility is expected to create dangerous to impossible travel conditions. Also, wind may be strong enough to bring down trees and power lines.

GBT service will be suspended at 8 PM this evening, Monday, January 26, 2015. It is highly likely that service will also be suspended tomorrow morning.

Please be sure to allow for extra time for travel and consider later conditions for your return trip. During the storm, we'll be posting regular updates to gogbt.comFacebook and Twitter and will also make announcements via local news and radio stations. Details are listed below.

A few safety tips during severe weather:

  • Check for updates on services before you leave
  • Leave yourself some additional time while traveling
  • Watch your step traveling to and from bus stops and while boarding the bus and always use sidewalks and cross walks
