The Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority (GBT) was organized in 1998 under Chapter 103A of the Connecticut General Statutes for the purpose of operating public transit services. Today, GBT provides fixed route and ADA Paratransit bus services in Bridgeport, Fairfield, Stratford and Trumbull with services extending to Shelton, Derby, Milford, Westport, Norwalk and Monroe.

The GBT Board of Commissioners consists of ten members, four representing the City of Bridgeport and two each representing the towns of Fairfield, Stratford and Trumbull. The current commissioners are:

General Manager/Chief Executive Officer
GBT operates under the Direction of its General Manager/CEO, Doug Holcomb, AICP. Mr. Holcomb joined the GBT team in 2001, first as Director of Planning and Service Development then as the agency’s General Manager/CEO since 2011. Mr. Holcomb can be reached at dholcomb@gogbt.com
Deputy General Manager/Chief Operating Officer
Thomas Gorman currently Serves as GBT’s Deputy General Manager and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Gorman joined the GBT team in 1996 first as Chief Financial Officer and in his current position since 2012. Mr. Gorman can be reached at tgorman@gogbt.com
Chief Financial Officer
Adrienne Belanger currently serves as GBT’s Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Belanger has been with GBT since 1996, first as staff accountant and in her current position since 2013. Ms. Belanger can be reached at abelanger@gogbt.com
Director of Planning and Service Development
Steven DeMichele currently serves as GBT’s Director of Planning and Service Development. Mr. DeMichele joined GBT in 2011 as a Transportation Systems Analyst and began his work as Planning and Service Development Director in 2017. Mr. DeMichele can be reached at sdemichele@gogbt.com
