A newsletter to help our riders make the most of GBT Access, transit for people with a disability.

GBT Access Bus Fare

Fare collection resumed on April 1, 2023. This includes fares for all GBT services, including GBT Access.

One-Way Fare • $3.50

The one-way fare for a ride on a GBT Access bus is $3.50 and is required to be paid at the time of pick up.

Safety During the Cold Winter Months

In order for our drivers to safely provide door-to-door service, the rider must maintain a clear path of travel from the bus to the door. For example: The path from the bus to the door must be free of debris, deep snow (more than two inches), very icy conditions, tree branches, a garbage can, children’s toys, etc.

No Shows and Cancellations

Let Us Know

Please let us know as soon as possible if you decide not to travel with us, so that we can adjust the schedule to provide service for another rider. NO SHOWS take up space that other riders could have used and impacts on time performance for everyone, including you.

Cancellations

To cancel your ride the same day of your planned trip, call 203-579-7777 and select “1” for GBT Access and then “1” for our dispatch office.

If you are calling to cancel the day before your ride, please call 203-579-7777 and select “1” for GBT Access and remain on the line for the reservation office.

GBT Access Dispatch Hours

Monday through Saturday: 4:30AM – 11:00PM
Sunday: 6:30AM to 10:00PM

GBT Board of Commissioners Meeting

The GBT Board of Commissioners consists of ten members, four representing the City of Bridgeport and two each representing the towns of Fairfield, Stratford and Trumbull. Board meetings are held monthly and are open to the public. The location, time, notice and agenda are available in advance of all meetings.
