Service Reductions
GBT is Facing a Budget Shortfall
GBT is facing a substantial budget shortfall starting July 1,2026. This budget gap will hamper GBT’s ability to maintain its full scope of services. If new funding is not available, GBT will have to make the difficult decision to significantly reduce bus services.
“It is critical that new, sustainable and adequate funding be allocated to GBT to preserve current transit services.”
―Steven DeMichele, GBT CEO
30% Service Cuts
GBT is currently planning service cuts. Details will be announced in the coming weeks. These cuts will have to be implemented if new funding is not available to fill GBT’s budget gap.
