Delays & Detours This Weekend
Saturday 9/24 and Sunday 9/25
Due to the Sound on Sound music festival taking place this weekend at Seaside Park, there will be delays and detours in the downtown Bridgeport area.
GBT will be operating regular Route 1 and Route 9 service, with detours in the area of Seaside Park and the University of Bridgeport.
Route 1 Detour Details
On Saturday and Sunday, the Route 1 will only service Broad St. to University Ave. and will then turn around and return to the Bus Station via Broad St. and South Frontage Rd. There will be no Route 1 service on Park Ave. The Route 1 between the Bus Station and the Dock Shopping Center will be unchanged.
Route 9 Detour Details
On Saturday and Sunday, the Route 9 will turn right onto Barnum Dyke, right onto South Ave. and Left on Iranistan Ave. on its return to the Bus Station. The Route 9 between the bus station and Hawley Lane Mall will be unchanged.
Riders should anticipate delays on the Route 1 and Route 9 and all other GBT services in the area of Seaside Park and downtown Bridgeport during the Sound on Sound event.
Please expect delays on all routes in downtown Bridgeport during this event.
